Flushed Cheeks
Time to up your blush game as flushed cheeks are in order. To create a romantic look, models at Ulla Johnson, Simone Rocha and Erdem were given warm, soft-flushed cheeks.
Abstract Peepers
Escape the dark days of 2020 with a pop of colour. In Zero + Maria Conejo’s spring 2021 show, models wore bold eyeshadow with electric hues, applied in a painterly matter.
Hollywood Glam
At Naeem Khan there was no shortage of glamour. Make-up artists Nam Vo and Angela Reece’s brassy gold lids were paired with a coral-red lips to achieve a Hollywood-glam look.
Fresh Face
As make-up artists and hair stylists limit their contact with models, looks are much simpler and easier to achieve than in previous seasons. Burberry, Anna Sui and Zimmerman all opted for subtle, fresh and clean “no make-up” make-up.
Post-Beach Skin
If we can’t go on holiday, let it come to us. Faux freckles – applied with liquid lip stain – were a focal point of the glam in the Jason Wu presentation, one of a handful of labels to opt for a physical runway. Fresh and glowy skin round out the beach-girl look.
Whimsical Bottom Lashes
It was all about lashes at Rodarte. Whimsical falsies were applied to the centre of the top and bottom lash line, paired with vampire berry-stained lips.
More Whimsical Bottom Lashes
In a subtle nod to the ’60s, Twiggy-inspired lashes can also be drawn on with eyeliner.
These are all our favourite beauty trends from the Spring/Summer 2021 runways.
