
A STANDOUT EVENT at Art Basel Hong Kong took place at Galerie Perrotin, where Emmanuel Perrotin unveiled the opening of a solo exhibition of mobiles by Takashi Murakami and Xavier Veilhan on May 21.
With the support of Richard Mille, Galerie Perrotin hosted a cocktail opening followed by an intimate dinner with Murakami and Veilhan at a never-before-seen space on the 29th floor of 50 Connaught Road, Central. Japanese floral artist Makoto Azuma transformed the venue into an elegant garden in which guests sipped champagne throughout the night courtesy of Perrier Jouët, and dined on delicacies by Matt Abergel and Lindsay Jang, who are behind popular restaurants Yardbird and Ronin.
Murakami and Veilhan mingled with guests and art enthusiasts as well as A-listers including Emmanuel Perrotin, Edison Chen, Arnaud and Elisa Barthélémy, Claire and Benjamin Vuchot, and Italian fashion magnate Renzo Rosso with sons Stefano and Andrea.
