The editors at Prestige Hong Kong have put together a personal 2020 Christmas wish list for your daily dose of Holiday inspiration. Style Director and Editor-at-large Jing Zhang’s picks are for style mavens everywhere.
I love the black and white combination, and this supple, white-leather Chanel handbag doesn’t disappoint. The graphic effect is super appealing and the thick black rope stitching and gold and silver-chain details makes it a lifer.
I just discovered this colourful Brazilian fashion label that blends South American flair with Japanese influences and detailing. The result is ultra-fresh femininity, unexpected prints and silhouettes. I especially like this hot fuchsia full-length dress with wonderful frills and a lovely shape.
Some of my favourite accessories this season are by Bottega Veneta. These twisted leather rope and gold earrings and bracelet provide gravitas, texture, colour and drama.
A crackling log fire, glass of whisky on ice and a slow game of chess – these are the festive winter pursuits that make me feel old and cultured. There are few more beautiful chess sets I’ve seen recently than this one from Hermès with a white and blue board and gorgeously carved wooden pieces in contemporary shapes.
When luxury brands do sports equipment, it can go one of two ways. Fortunately, the slick black and white accented basketball by Prada, featuring the Italian label’s classic triangular logo and a buckled ball holder, is cool enough to make it one of those collector’s items.
Now I’ve really only been skiing four times in my life. None of them ended particularly gracefully, but that doesn’t mean the next time I do it I don’t want to do it in style. Dior’s winter sports set, complete with skis, snowboard, poles, helmet and slick coloured goggles, is just divine and so beautifully done. The colours, the shapes, the surface patina – it’s all rather sexy, don’t you think?
These black half frame sunglasses are a timeless accessory that I’d be taking from the beach to the office. Super!
Crystal technology still manages to raise an eyebrow or two, but I recently tried a premium silk sleep mask from Hong Kong-New York brand Re.Vityl that features a slim padded insert with 16 bio crystal that are said to relieve anxiety, stress and improve sleep. It worked well, especially for a chronic insomniac like me, is adjustable and super comfy. Now I want more, one in each colour if possible, to give to friends over the Christmas period.
