An ambition to eliminate e-commerce fraud and create a better shopping experience led Anina Ho to establish Laclary, an online platform using blockchain technology that connects merchants and consumers to make safe purchases. A graduate of Central Saint Martins and Harvard, Ho believes blockchain is instrumental in creating a favourable environment for businesses to collaborate and build loyal counterfeit-free relationships.
Her experience in property investment and retail in both Hong Kong and Los Angeles provided the necessary foundations to operate in the retail and tech spaces. Recently, Ho received the Hong Kong Retail Technology Association’s Adversity Award 2020 and the Hong Kong O2O E-Commerce Federation’s Adversity O2O Award 2020.
Her instincts. It’s important for Anina Ho to stay true to herself, even when leading a multi-million-dollar enterprise. She defines her professional journey with Steve Jobs’ words: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And, most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”
