One of Hong Kong’s most prolific actresses, Sandra Ng has the uncanny ability to immerse herself into any role, whether comedic or poignant. As a long-time host of the CRHK radio programme He She Hit, her voice is also instantly recognisable. In a more than 20-year acting career, she pocketed multiple awards including a Golden Horse in 2003 for Golden Chicken, and now Ng has turned her attention to film producing, making her mark with touching stories about ordinary people in this city. Her latest film, Zero to Hero, about Hong Kong Paralympic athlete So Wa-wai, gained her global recognition as Hong Kong’s submission to the 94th Academy Award’s Best International Feature Film category.
Ng increasingly focuses her attention on the next generation. The actress and producer never turns down a chance to work with newcomers, whom she believes have the potential to shape the future.
