Sarah Lee is a professional track cyclist and Olympic medallist, winning her first bronze in the women’s keirin at the 2012 London Olympics. Lee won her second bronze in the women’s sprint at this year’s Tokyo Olympics, making her the first Hong Kong athlete to win medals at two separate games. But her talents and diligence don’t stop with sports. After obtaining a Bachelor of Health Education, a Diploma in Theology and a certificate in Sports Coaching Theory, Lee is now studying creative and professional writing at the Hong Kong Baptist University and is publishing her first book in the new year. Keen to promote sports, health and cycling to the public, she hopes her endeavours and achievements can illuminate the Hong Kong spirit to a global audience. She’s currently in training for next year’s Asian Games in Hangzhou.
Lee enjoys singing, writing and public speaking, and uses them to her greatest strength – giving motivational speeches to her dedicated followers and promoting the benefits of sports for all to the public. Her outgoing nature has made her the perfect ambassador for Unicef, Junior Police Call and the Occupational Safety and Health Council.
