Another day, another new skincare line makes its way into our midst, and the latest the join the fray is none other than US designer Tom Ford.
Renowned for his wildly successful eponymous fashion label and Tom Ford Beauty empire that was established back in 2006, the designer’s latest venture dubbed (what else?) Tom Ford research sees him teaming up with cosmetics giant Estée Lauder (which also owns Tom Ford Beauty) to launch a high-end skincare line. As Ford tells WWD:
“I wanted to start a serious skin-care arm and have it be science-based…This is a real skin-care product and regimen. I’m not a designer who has thrown his name on a beautifully packaged cream.”
The first releases from this new skincare line include a ‘Serum Concentrate’ and a ‘Crème Concentrate’; both products are said to contain caffeine and gyokuro, a premium shade-grown Japanese green tea. The new line is expected to release in the US this August, followed by an international launch the following month. A further trio of products is also said to be in the works with a scheduled release sometime in March 2020.
