On 4 December 2019, Prestige held its most-anticipated annual party—Prestige Gala. Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta’s ballroom was filled with high-socialites and top celebrities in town!
GLAM MOMENTS ON THE RED CARPET
Decked in debonair dresses and suits, Prestige’s cover girls and friends have attended the Gala with their A-game. Dripped in international to local designers’ pieces, the guests have swoon the photographers who shot every pose and glamorous moments on the red carpet—non-stop. One of the most highlighted red carpet moments was when our latest cover girl Adinda Bakrie, walked into the room in a red tube top ballgown. She accessorized it with her charming smile!
The red carpet arrivals were just beyond stunning. Most of the celebrities who have been featured in Prestige—the Prestige It List and Prestige 40 under 40—also attended the gala. COCKTAIL HOURS
Prestige Gala was presented by our beloved sponsors, from OPPO Indonesia, The Time Place, Maserati, Mario Minardi, Martell, and Lancôme. Prestige cover girls and friends were catching up during the cocktail hours while they visiting our sponsored booths. One of the high-socialites and businesswoman Tio Santi looked having fun taking photographs at the OPPO Indonesia’s winter set that was specially made for the #prestigegala. Who can hold back the holiday festivity? It’s contagious.
OPPO Indonesia also sponsored our Silent Auction of the night, which benefited social foundations of Rachel House and Happy Hearts Indonesia. Prestige ladies and gentlemen were able to bid each 10 packages that were bundled with the new OPPO Reno 10x Zoom!
Mario Minardi booth was also crowded by the gentlemen who love good leather shoes. Mario Minardi always innovative when it comes to its colouring technique, and at the booth, it showcased its know-how with its artisan. The shoe brand also gave three door prizes during the #prestigegala that each worth IDR 3.5 million in shopping vouchers.
Prestige ladies also pampered by Lancôme on that night and had fun taking more photographs at its photo booth, decorated with Lancôme’s signature roses! Lancôme also presented three door prizes in three product packages that each worth IDR 3 million!
THE PRESTIGE GALA BALLROOM
When it came around 8 PM, Prestige ladies and gentlemen were ushered into the ballroom. The hallway leading to the main room was dimly lighted with small lights only, making it one of the most photographed spots at the #PrestigeGala.
Inside the ballroom, the guests were in awe with Prestige’s glorious decorations, starting from the dance floor that was at the centre of the ballroom, clouded by beautiful flowers, chandeliers, and disco balls! It was truly the centre of attention that night. Moving inwards, the VIPs were served their seats comfortably as they wait for the event to start.
The one that stole more attention in the room was the Maserati Ghibli, parked at the right-wing of the room. Such beauty!
At the #PrestigeGala, Martell also exclusively invited German Mixologist Andre Phillip who created cocktail drinks from whisky infused drink to a Christmas-themed drink, coloured in white and red! Talking about the holiday spirit, two massive Christmas trees were also gorgeously sitting at the corner of the room, making the entire room felt warm and merry! Love, love, love!
PRESTIGE GALA CELEBRATES ITS 15 ANNIVERSARY, AND BEYOND
The entire night was more than festive. After giving his toasts and welcoming speech, Prestige’s MC of the night Cisca Beker invited Editor-in-Chief/Publisher Ronald Liem once again to the stage to explain more about two social foundations that became the main charity focus for the night. Children are our future and health is the most important thing. That’s why for Prestige, it will endlessly support the foundations who working their way to provide excellent facilities and great educations for the young generations who needed our help more than ever.
Rachel House is an Indonesian non-profit organization that established in 2006. Since then, Rachel House has pioneered children’s palliative care in Indonesia. It provides a specialised form of medical care (palliative care) to children from marginalised communities living with serious and life-limiting illnesses, such as cancer and HIV AIDS.
Meanwhile, Happy Hearts Indonesia a non-profit organization that envisions every child in Indonesia has access to education by attending safe and earthquake-resistant schools. Founded by Petra Němcová in 2004, a renowned supermodel and entrepreneur, it is dedicated to rebuilding schools and restoring hope and opportunity in the lives of children in underprivileged areas. It supports local communities in building sustainable and eco-friendly schools and supply them with proper facilities. Find out more through its campaign called #IAMCHANGE.
Children’s education and health are close to our heart, as Ronald Liem is one of the board members in both of the foundations along with Chair of Happy Hearts Indonesia, Director & COO PT Plaza Indonesia Realty, Tbk. Mia Egron and Founder & Creative Director Wanda House of Jewels Wanda Ponika. Prestige ladies and gentlemen were able to bid directly from OPPO Reno 10x Zoom phone as the ushers were visiting the guests in the ballroom during the gala.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, #PrestigeGala was exceptionally fun! We lead our event by paying a tribute to all of our cover girls throughout the years. From Socialite and Entrepreneur Vicky Marcia who was our first cover girl ever in 2004, six times cover girl Adinda Bakrie, to one of the latest cover girls this year, Jean Claudia in November issue. The tribute always became the highlight in #PrestigeGala, and it was serenaded by one our favourite singers and angelic voices in Indonesia, Angel Pieters.
The party continues with more music performances, starting from Australian singer Emma Nico, who lent her jazzy voice for the night and shared even more elegant vibes throughout the room. Near towards the after-party, we closed it down with a Madonna Tribute Show by Immaculate Madonna! From “Hung Up” to “Vogue”, the performance was epic! Hands down indeed.
