The world’s attention was focused on the latest premiere of The Lion King in London, which was attended by the royal family – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Directed by the talented Jon Favreau, the remake of Disney’s classic tale features Donald Glover, Beyoncé, and Seth Rogen.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met actress and singer Beyoncé, who came with Jay Z and Blue Ivy, for the first time. The meeting later became viral as the rumours went down that the singer had broken the protocol, since she arrived later than the Royal couple, as a source tells Entertainment Tonight.
The Lion King is one of this year’s summer films that has been expected by all the Disney fans in the world. The Lion King remake brings top casts from Hollywood to live up the spirits of the most beloved characters, such as Donald Glover, a.k.a. Rapper Childish Gambino as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, and Seth Rogen as Pumba.
Aside from voicing the character of Nala in the film, Beyoncé also contributes to its soundtrack album, “The Lion King: The Gift”. She recently released the first song for the film, called “Spirit”. “This is a sonic cinema. This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn’t one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro Beat,” says Beyoncé about the soundtrack album.
British musician, Elton John, and Tim Rice, who created the popular soundtrack hits, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” in 1994, are back to help the new soundtrack album. Elton John released “Never Too Late”, as one of the main songs that we will hear at the end of the film.
