In case you missed it, we’ve reached a leap year, which means we get an extra day this February. 2020 hasn’t been easy so far — all the more reason to cherish the extra 24 hours. There’s something hopeful about realising that even when things seem to be going downhill, when the moment is seized, there is still so much that can be accomplished.
As you go about the week, place some priority on doing the things you’ve always wanted to, but “haven’t had the time” for — you do. Whether it’s visiting an art gallery or two, learning a new skill, or telling someone you love them, may 2020 be the year of getting things done, and taking brave, proactive strides to happiness.
Oh, and also, Happy Valentine’s Day.

A great way for both Bangkok-dwelling creatives and those looking to find out more about the local art scene, the affair runs for two nights, with exciting exhibitions and events taking place at various partnering galleries. Tuk-tuk services facilitate travel between each of the art spaces, and this year, those joining in will also be able to download a special mobile application that offers essential information about the event. Fun fact: as this year’s Galleries Night falls on Valentine’s Day, the theme is ‘Love is in the Art’ — a slogan that will be reflected in the exhibitions as well.
