With an unrelenting type of love in the air and Valentine’s Day fast approaching — despite Bangkok’s pollution and the corona virus breakout we hope you are protecting yourselves from! – we thought it necessary to catch up with some of our favourite celebs to find out what they’ll be hoping for come February 14th. And the last, but by no means the least of our special Valentine’s Day series has arrived, in the form a man of many talents, Kanachai “Kit” Bencharongkul.
The son of DTAC’s co-founder Boonchai Bencharongkul has spent the majority of his twenties weaving his own artistic tapestry of fame, and can best be described as an artist in every sense of the word – photographer, singer and art director. Surprisingly, he also dedicates a large amount of his time creatively directing the endeavours of his family’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA).
We were keen to see what one of Bangkok’s most strikingly handsome socialites had to say about his idea of a dream date on Valentine’s Day… and perhaps who he’d be spending it with! Find out more in this exclusive Q&A!
The Place
I am kind of torn between two places… One could be very intimate and at home, either at my place, or at my date’s place. That would be perfect for spending some real quality time along together. On the other hand, it would also be really cool to go somewhere super exotic, like in the woods or to the mountains, far away from civilisation. It’s too hot and polluted in Thailand right now so let’s just stick with being home.
The Food
I think the food should be home-cooked and something that we cooked together. Because cooking together would be really romantic and create some great memories. Cooking food brings couples closer together. I think we’d probably be cooking some Thai fusion dishes. I love cooking and am all about presentation, which in my opinion is an art form in itself! The way food is presented enhances the taste and it’s like art on a plate. So the food would have to be artfully prepared by my date and I.
The Present
I think something handmade or handcrafted that I know my date actually spent time making and put a lot of thought into.
The Surprise
The surprise… some very good news, or another really good present!
