The Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC) hosted its annual golf day on September 18, when more than 100 supporters of the charity took to the fairways of the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling to raise much-appreciated funds. Rusy and Purviz Shroff were the title sponsors of the event, and their nephew Noshir attended on their behalf to tee off the proceedings. Alongside Shroff, some of HKSPC’s fund-raising committee, including Karen Chu Ma, Veronica Lee-Chou and Jacqueline Chow, took to the stage to thank the players for their support. Arnold Wong, co-founder of Press Room Group, led one of the 25 flights of golfers, and Philip Ma, Mark Peaker and martial-arts star Yuen Biao were all spotted on the course. But before the adults had their fun, a group of children from one of the HKSPC’s day-care centres had a lesson from one of the Golf Club’s coaches.
