Winners of 2018 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia)

A number of established property developers won big at the recent 2018 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia), the fifth instalment of the country’s premier real estate awards programme. At the ceremony held on 26 April 2018 at Kuala Lumpur’s InterContinental Hotel, more than 20 golden trophies were given to developers and builders in Kuala Lumpur, the Klang Valley, Penang and Iskandar Malaysia, with 350 guests in attendance.

Bagging the year’s top honours were LBS Bina Group, which earned its first Best Developer title, and Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, CEO and Managing Director of UEM Sunrise, who received the Malaysia Real Estate Personality of the Year award. OCR Land Holdings was crowned the Best Boutique Developer.

On top of that, LBS Bina Group was also recognised for its efforts in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including support for local educational outreach programmes and sponsoring the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation in the last 10 years. Lion Group Property’s and Mah Sing Group’s efforts in CSR were also recognised.

On the development front, the Best Condo Development (Malaysia) went to The Fennel at Sentul East by YTL Land & Development, while the Best Landed Development (Malaysia) was won by Crescent Park at Bandar Bukit Mahkota by Lion Group Property. The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Sultan Ismail by Berjaya Corporation was awarded the Best Green Development.
