Founder of EnviGo!
Kevin Susanto is a serial entrepreneur whose businesses stretches from F&B to packaging and more. He obtained a master’s degree in finance Macquarie University and started EnviGo!, a plastic manufacturing business supplying retail and e-commerce companies such as Tokopedia, Blibli, Ninja Express, Kopi Kenangan and Miniso, among others. “2015 was the beginning when start-ups started to rise in Indonesia. This has resulted in increased demand for packaging and it has negatively impacted the environment,” Susanto remarks. “In response, EnviGo! started producing eco-friendly carrier bags and an array of packaging products.”
Other business ventures of his that has attracted not only customers but investors as well include Goola and Gaaram, which he built in partnership with Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Benz Budiman. Susanto’s dream was to revolutionise Indonesian local drinks and street snacks. That dream came true in August 2019 when Goola began receiving funding from Alpha JWC Ventures. Within a year, it was everywhere. Goola has slowly but surely reintroduced traditional drinks to the masses. Meanwhile, Gaaram came in late 2019 with a franchise model and has succeeded in selling up to 70 licenses in a span of 4 days during the SIAL Interfood 2019. Within three months, Gaaram had seven stores.
Remarking on these two succesful ventures, Susanto says: “It taught me to become more flexible and adaptable to new situations and raised my awareness on the continuous fluctuation of market demands. Personally, my journey has led me to self-discovery, which pushes me to have passion, determination, to be resilient, be a people person and think strategically.”
