40 Under 40 The Vanguards: Fauzan Gani

Fauzan Gani

Co-Founder and CEO

Until three or four years ago, our workout options were to exercise at home or become a member of one particular fifitness club. Then some disruptors came up with apps that enabled us to book fifitness routines anywhere we wanted, without having to commit to yearly membership fees.
Fauzan Gani and his colleagues have a mission to help people get healthier easier. They created DOOgether, an app that enables users to book any kind of fifitness class, at any time of the day. With over 150 partner venues signed up in Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Bali since its launch in 2016, DOOgether is quickly becoming one of the most popular apps for sports bookings.
The company is supported by Everhaus, Prasetia Dwidharma and Cana Asia, with seed funding led by Gobi Agung. It is also backed by high-profifile private investors, such as Erick Thohir, head of Mahaka Group, and Alexander Rusli, former CEO of Indosat Ooredoo and founder of Digiasia Bios.
“I’m really careful what I’m thinking about because I believe it would affffect what we do today. Your mind is your power,” asserts 27-year-old Gani, DOOgether’s CEO.
“For example, in 2016 when we had just started out, we had this idea that Erick was our best option for investment. We didn’t know how to reach out to him at fifirst, but when we did eventually meet him and gave him our pitch, he was impressed and agreed to support DOOgether. So yes, your mind can be that powerful!”
