Chopard continues its yearly tribute to Chinese astrology. Only available in 88 pieces, Chopard’s L.U.C. XP Urushi Year Of The Dog combines the beauty of East and West under the great care of Japanese Living National Treasure Master Kiichiro Masumura and Urushi Grand Master Minori Koizum. The dial features an Akita, rendered using ancient lacquering techniques. The Asian dog is surrounded by a lush natural setting of wild orchids and a dragonfly, which symbolises luck and good omen. The work of art is encased in an ultra-thin 18ct rose gold case, measuring 39.5mm in diameter and 6.8mm thick, also protecting the mechanical self-winding L.U.C. 96.17-L movement with a 65-hour power reserve.
