This special collaboration wishes you luck, protection, and harmony with its three new lucky charm creations. Their scents draw inspiration from plants and ingredients famous for their beneficial qualities.
German-based illustrator, painter, artist, graphic designer, and author Olaf Hajek created the mystical look of the wish candles. He designed the song of birds and the rustle of luxuriant nature and utilised warm, lively colours. The result is a magical collection that’s oh-so-beautiful to see and smell.
Each wish candle comes in primary color—red, green, blue—that is in Latin America believed to strengthen each wish.
GREEN CANDLE FOR PROTECTION
Key scent: Protective Pine
Did you know that the Japanese place two small pines on the doorstep of their house at the dawn of the New Year? It is to bring happiness and prosperity to their homes. Pines, cedar trees, and fir trees have been strongly linked to life long life and unbroken happiness.
Diptyques’ Protective Pine candle combines scents of Siberian fir, balsam fir, and cedar, plus aromatic notes of sacred herbs basil and sage to wrap its protective aura around the people who light the candle.
The colour green, associated with new life, promises revitalisation and hope. It is sign of spiritual regeneration, both body and spirit well protected.
RED CANDLE FOR LUCK
Key Scent: Lucky Flowers
Soothsayers predict luck, love or success by carefully picking lucky flowers. In the Middle East, did you know they use the smoke of cloves to perfume and purify the house? In South of France, they throw aniseed at newlyweds to wish them prosperity. All these show how luck is attracted.
Rose, cloves, and aniseed comprise Diptyque’s Lucky Flowers candle. These principal notes set a bright, hopeful tone for the new year.
The colour red brings good burning energy, giving us extra vigour and boost in our lives.
BLUE CANDLE FOR HARMONY
Key ingredient: Blissful Amber
Musk is the perfume of Paradise in Persian poetry and is synonymous with beauty and dreams. When blended with amber, the woody note evokes an exotic wonder. Did you know during the Middle Ages in Europe, people inhaled amber to refresh themselves?
Diptyque’s musk and amber Blissful Candle mixed with geranium and lavender has powerful relaxing properties. It soothes your body and soul with its harmonious scent.
The colour blue symbolizes wisdom and purity of feelings, an excellent hue to ring in the new year with harmony.
