Get Your Adrenaline Pumping With the New BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo

If you’re on the lookout for a car that does the century sprint swiftly in under four seconds, or possesses more than 600 horses under the hood — and isn’t a dime a dozen on the roads — here’s a chic, sleek ride to covet. Say hello to the BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo.

Munich Automobiles has unveiled the latest BMW Alpina car at its Teban Gardens Crescent showroom. This luxurious four-door is one that promises outstanding driving dynamics, exceptional performance and plush cruising comfort.

Powered with a 4.4-litre V8 engine, the new BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo is robust enough to boast up to 608bhp of power and 800Nm of torque. This means the car is built for speed. It takes a whopping 3.5 seconds to go from zero to 100km/h, while completing 200km/h in 11.4 seconds. With top speed peaking at 330km/h, it is one of the fastest four-door luxury performance saloons in the market.

And for the first time, the new BMW Alpina B5 Bi-turbo comes with Integral Active Steering for added agility and safety. It comprises an electromechanical steering system with variable ratio at the front axle and electromechanical rear-wheel steering with a maximum steering angle of 2.5 degrees. Additionally, the introduction of the intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel system is yet another first in this car.

That’s not all.

Design-wise, in line with the exclusivity of Alpina, the BMW Alpina B5 comes with the Alpina Classic 20-inch forged wheels and Alpina sports exhaust system. As with all BMW Alpina cars, the B5 is available in exclusive Alpina Blue metallic and Alpina Green metallic. Since it’s part of the BMW family, this luxurious ride is fitted with the iconic BMW kidney grille.

Inside, the car sports a full-colour digital instrument panel in LED technology that features a distinctive Alpina design. In different modes, the screen adds to the ambience. In Comfort mode, it goes classic with a blue background, red needles and legible figures. Switch it up to Sport and the display gets more dynamic style with green drag indicators. Then there’s also an Eco Pro mode. There’s also the centrally positioned permanent digital speed indicator, a hallmark Alpina feature.

A range of luxe standard equipment is offered to, such as nappa leather, comfort seats and four-zone auto climate control, while the sports steering wheel is crafted with high-quality Lavalina leather. Other examples of exclusive equipment features include illuminated door sills, model designations and an individual production plaque.

Other standard systems include the latest BMW navigation, communication and infotainment systems that uses the innovative gesture controls.

The BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo is available in two variants: The Touring and the slightly swifter Saloon.
