The future is here and it’s taking the shape of foldable mobile phones. As one of the leading players in this market, Samsung has been quick off the mark in recognising this increasingly popular trend and recently unveiled the Galaxy Fold, a unique blend of smartphone and tablet, all in one sophisticated, sleek slinky package. The path-breaking device was launched in Singapore on 18 September and is expected to be quite the rage.
“The category-defining Galaxy Fold is a device that defies the barriers of traditional smartphone design. Now, we’re excited to release this pioneering mobile technology, and allow consumers to experience it for themselves,” said DJ Koh, president and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics.
Available in two colours, Cosmos Black and Space Silver, the Galaxy Fold scores high on performance and comes packed with new innovative features. Functioning as a phone when closed, it also displays all your apps and icons on the front screen for easy access, and even allows you to take pictures or shoot videos from any one of its six amazing cameras.
But possibly the coolest aspect of the device is opening it to reveal a 7.3 inch Infinite Flex Display screen. As expected, the clarity is impressive and seriously enhances watching videos, playing games, editing content, and the general browsing experience for users. There’s even a Multi-Active Window facility that allows one to seamlessly work across various open apps simultaneously.
“Consumers have responded positively to larger screens, and the Galaxy Fold’s revolutionary form factor offers a bigger, more immersive screen without sacrificing portability,” added Koh.
The Galaxy Fold LTE model comes with an extra bit of good news too — users will also be able to enjoy the benefits of its complimentary Galaxy Fold Premier Service. This customer care programme has a validity of one year and offers 24-hour helpline support via the Samsung Members app, diagnostic checks, door-to-door pick up, service for repairs and much more.
So what are you waiting for? Pick up the new Galaxy Fold and unfold its wonders within.
