Prestige teamed up with Maserati to highlight two of its fabulous creations, with a little help from two fabulous Indonesian figures
Known for its long and glorious heritage, Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer Maserati has been producing racing, sports and GT (Grand Touring) cars since 1914 in Modena, Italy. Not too long ago, the brand collaborated with Prestige Indonesia to highlight two of its most celebrated cars – namely, the Maserati Ghibli and Maserati Levante – in a series of exciting campaign videos. And lending their stories and passion for speed to these exquisite automobiles are jet ski athlete Aero Aswar and Program Director of Djarum Bakti Budaya Renitasari Adrian.
Aero Aswar and the Maserati Levante
“When it comes to daily mobility, I like a car that is able to support my daily activities, but at the same time, has the ability to engage with its speed and power on demand,” Aero Aswar begins. Of course, being a champion jet ski athlete, it goes without saying that he truly lives life in the fast lane. “The Maserati Levante,” Aswar points out, “provides the best of both worlds.”
It’s interesting to note that the name Levante in inspired by a warm, Mediterranean wind that can change from mild breeze to gale force in an instant – which is exactly in line with the characteristics of what is Maserati’s first SUV. With its twin-turbo V6 engine that produces a massive 360hp, the Levante has power to spare. And with a top speed of just over 250km/h and the ability to go from 0 to 100 in a flat six seconds, the Levante is a definite treat for people like Aswar who can truly claim that speed runs in their blood.
“On the other hand, an extremely premium interior is a must,” Aswar continues, “because it is all about the feeling, the finesse, the perfection and the emotion you experience inside.” It goes without saying that the Maserati Levante delivers on this aspect, and then some. Dressed in exquisite silk by noted Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna – along with the finest leather inserts for the seats, door panels, roof lining, sunshades, and ceiling light fixture – the Levante practically redefines luxury on wheels.
Aswar also noted that “the Maserati Touch Control Plus provides a seamless experience to stay connected while driving,” highlighting the car’s thoughtful consideration for the needs of modern professionals on the move. Perhaps the celebrated jet ski athelete puts it best when he concluded: “The Levante provides the smoothest and most luxurious driving experience in any terrain, or occasion, while at the same time having the power and speed that I would expect of a Maserati.”
Renitasari Adrian and the Maserati Ghibli
Renitasari Adrian, Program Director for the Djarum Bakti Budaya Foundation, is a true woman of culture, having grown up amid the cultural and artistic riches of Indonesia. Having embodied its elements into her lifestyle, she is now on a mission to make art more attractive to the public.
On a more personal note, as it happens, Adrian has always been attracted to cars. “Driving is a form of personal time that I really enjoy the most,” she quips. “The feeling of sitting behind the steering wheel, driving with speed, is liberating and irreplaceable.”
For one day, Prestige had the opportunity to follow Adrian around as she went on her daily routines, which included plenty of time behind the wheel of her Maserati Ghibli. Speaking about the car, Adrian notes that it “gives me a powerful experience that makes every drive a sensation, especially with its with its distinct engine notes.”
As a program director for a prestigious cultural institution, Adrian was also able to point out some of the finer details of the Maserati Ghibli to us. “The dynamic sculpted curves and gracefully flowing lines gives it a touch of boldness and elegance at the same time,” she says. For sure, the Maserati Ghibli felt like it was made just for daring characters like her.
