It was during September Prestige attended one of the most awaited and must-visit event in Indonesia: the Hennessey Declassified. The event was held on the ground floor of the north wing of Pacific Place Jakarta mall from 23-29 September 2019.
Just like last year, the Hennessy Declassified is back with another exhibition that reveals the secret behind the world’s best cognac, thanks to a process and heritage that has been passed down through eight generations. Only this time, it’s upgraded for a more immersive and interactive experience.
Unlike its predecessor, the exhibition “2.0” featured technologies such as video mapping, interactive installations to virtual reality. Some of the highlights of the exhibition are the presence of an original Hennessy oak barrel—flown from France—that’s used for the maturing process as well as a replica of a room that’ that takes visitors behind the scene of the complex process of the creation of the Hennessy.
The main reason for attending the event, however, is due to the introduction of The Hennessy Masterclass. The Hennessy Masterclass presents both Indonesian as well as international entrepreneurs and prominent figures in an intimate forum session, who discuss the current lifestyle industry’s issues and insights.
Each Masterclass kicks off with Hennessy Maison Brand Ambassadors, Febien Levieeux and Matthieu Lerat, who shared their knowledge about the complex process of creating a bottle of Hennessy. Moving on just before the main speakers take the stage, culinary experts such as chefs, chocolatiers and mixologist shares their creation for Hennessy pairing.
The Masterclass Lounge that features the Hennesy Tasting Bar, where visitors could get a taste of the Hennessy V.S.O.P and X.O as well as a range of cocktails selection for the day. On the final day, the event had its wrap up party, which features pop stars Ariel Nayaka and Adrian Khalif bringing their latest and even unreleased songs and beats by DJ Hongky Wiryono.

Later in the same day, Winda Malika Siregar reveals to us that she is a mathematic and chemistry whiz, how she tries to create the most of mixing her interest and skills just like how Hennessy mixes its well-kept heritage and lifestyle—which finally leads up to her announcement as Hennessy’s latest brand ambassador in Indonesia. Also, Chef Gerald A. Maridet from Huize van Wely showcases the art of chocolate tempering, in which later he presented his assortment of chocolate that pairs perfectly with the Hennessy.
