Wagyumafia is a members-only restaurant founded in Tokyo and famed for its dining experience focused on one of Japan’s most premium ingredients-pedigreed wagyu beef. Hennessy and Wagyumafia are conducting an exclusive pop-up dinner this weekend from 27 November-30 November 2019 at The Dining Room, Raffles Hotel Jakarta, Indonesia.

Its signature Ozaki beef, which has always been Wagyumafia’s signature ingredient, will be presented along the pairing menu that will truly bring the consumers through a unique pairing odyssey with Hennessy X.O.

Celebrating Hennessy’s Legendary Collaboration with Director Ridley Scott
The exclusive pop-up dinner is also a part of Hennessy’s celebration of its legendary collaboration with renowned Hollywood Director Ridley Scott. Hennessy X.O–family of the world’s most renowned luxury Cognac brand–globally rolled out an epic short film titled The Seven Worlds by the legendary director Ridley Scott [Oscar-nominated film director whose credits include The Martian, Alien and Blade Runner] at the beginning of 2019.
The film is a creative interpretation of each of the seven tasting notes, described by Hennessy’s Comité de Dégustation as illustrations of Hennessy X.O’s taste and feel: Sweet Notes, Rising Heat, Spicy Edge, Flowing Flame, Chocolate Lull, Wood Crunches; culminating in Infinite Echo.
All seven notes evocatively take shape under the iconic filmmaker’s direction, with his subversive sense of narrative, unique light, and a knack for radical, and technical innovation. The seven notes, envisioned as individual worlds, are brought to life through wondrous and extreme physiography. The director leaves it to the viewer’s imagination if the film occurs in the future or the past, in reality, or in a dreamscape as he takes us through vivid scenes offering snapshots of each world.
