Hours away to the big day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! On May 17 the couple had their wedding dress rehearsal at the Windsor Castle. The bride-to-be was finally spoken up about her father, Thomas Markle, presence in her wedding. Kensington Palace released a statement from Meghan shortly before 11.30am on May 17, confirming he would not be in Windsor at the weekend. In the official statement released by Kensington Palace, Meghan says, “Sadly my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health. I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday.”
So who’s going to walk her down the aisle? Her mother, Doria Ragland was rumoured to be the most likely the candidate. But then there’s the breaking news on Friday, May 18: Meghan Markle has asked Prince Charles to walk her down the aisle!
Ragland is spending the night before the ceremony with her daughter at Cliveden House Hotel, a 376 acre National Trust estate in Berkshire. She has met Prince Charles and Camilla during a tea time at Clarence House in London.
MAID OF HONOUR
Markle has thought about the bridesmaid and pageboys. She decided to avoid choosing her maid of honour, and having ten bridesmaids instead. Meanwhile, for the pageboys, they are all under the age of eight.
ON THE CHOSEN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER…
It’s no other than Alexi Lubomirski! He also took the couple’s engagement photographs at Frogmore House in Windsor, which was released on December 21 last year. Before the royal wedding, Lubomirski has never taken a wedding photography. He is well known as the fashion and celebrity photographers, for various magazine covers. The British-born photographer was also worked for Mario Testino in the early stages of his career.
Lubomirski recently spoke about the experience of photographing the future royal couple while being interviewed at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in Los Angeles. He stated that it was “one of the easiest, most joyful jobs because they were so deliciously in love.”

MEANWHILE THE PERFORMER FOR THE WEDDING IS…
After 21 years after he sang at Princess Diana’s funeral, Sir. Elton John will sing to the guests tomorrow who witness the royal nuptials. But it is still unknown whether he will perform again at the ceremony or the reception afterwards. The singer has cancelled two scheduled Las Vegas shows to perform at the royal wedding! John previously performed his song “Candle in the Wind” at William and Harry’s mother Princess Diana’s funeral after she died in a car accident in 1997.
