Searching for a dream watch but got too many options to choose from? We have rounded up for you the best 5 latest watches that will never go out of style.
THINNEST OF ALL
Bvlgari’s Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic has become the world’s thinnest automatic tourbillon wristwatch at 3.95 mm. The watch houses the new Calibre BVL 288 with automatic winding, made possible thanks to the integration of a gold and aluminium peripheral rotor placed at the back of the movement. The sand-blasted titanium case reveals the entirely open-worked skeleton movement. An opening on the back of the watch depicts the stylised motif adorning the entrance of the boutique on the Via Condotti in Rome.
BEAUTY AND PROPORTIONS
With its smaller case in red gold measuring only 36 mm in diameter, IWC Schaffhausen has created the Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 for women. The classic moon phase display with the dark blue night sky and gold or silver moon and stars is an eye-catching feature of this three-hand watch. With the Flower of Life engraved on the case back, IWC pays tribute to Leonardo da Vinci’s tireless search for mathematical rules for beauty and proportions.
The Reflect case is a new creation by DeLaCour. Its shape is based on the design of the company’s original elliptical case. Moreover, the watch displays the features that mark the brand: the folded horns and the elongated silhouette of the case. The Reflect Chrono Skeleton will be produced in a limited edition of 33 pieces. Each side of the watch features a sapphire crystal glass, revealing the automatic movement.
ART OF THE EXTRAVAGANT
Roger Dubuis has introduced its own Haute Couture watch trilogy, offering a new take on its feminine Velvet collection. The collection cultivates the art of the extravagant with graphic motifs on dials, by subtly distorting the shapes of cases and turning lugs into precious links. The new watches feature the automatic RD 830 calibre.
It was in 1978 that Henri d’Origny created the Arceau model for Hermès: a round watch that he decided to associate with asymmetrical lugs featuring a shape inspired by stirrups, along with a distinctive and singular font. Since then, the line has been perpetually renewed while remaining true to its original spirit. Equipped with a chronograph function and a 41-mm bead-blasted titanium case, this sportier version, the Arceau Chrono Titan, radiates an appealingly light air.
