Best Dressed List at the 2019 MTV’s Video Music Awards

The 2019 MTV’s Video Music Awards just happened and major things in music history happened! Hosted by American stand-up Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco and held at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, the award show presented its first-ever Fashion Trailblazer Award to American Designer Marc Jacobs.

Multi-VMA nominee Taylor Swift opened the event. She sang her newest songs “You Need to Calm Down” and “Lover”. Equally multi-VMA nominated artist Ariana Grande also performed her hit song, “Thank U, Next”. The highest honor, the MTV Vanguard award, went to hip-hop queen Missy Elliot. She performed her iconic song “Work It” and also took the chance to drop a surprise album.

Among the performers were Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello. The real-life couple performed their song “Señorita”. Newly single pop star Miley Cyrus attended sans ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, but she certainly gave a heartening performance of “Slide Away”.
