Going back to its symbol for inspiration, Kate Spade launches its latest Signature Collection
The spade logo is iconic. It is used in various applications in all categories in every season of Kate Spade’s collections. From bold to subtle and through unusual applications, the spade is always present. When the Creative Director of Kate Spade Nicola Glass first joined the New York brand in 2018, she was inspired by the heart shape that was in the spade logo. One of Glass’s early interpretations was the spade pattern, which was born by putting together four spade logos that formed silhouettes like clover leaves, showing various silhouettes that could be created from the spade logo.
For its Signature Collection Summer 2020, the iconic spade symbol is back as the main inspiration. The new collection of bags is decorated with a spade pattern that is made on a special coated canvas designed together with renowned Italian textile factory Limonta. This season, there are a lot of embossed details juxtaposed against stripes and fruits to keep that fresh summer feelings alive.
The designs are very practical and excellent for everyday use. As another plus, they are made from durable materials that are easy to clean and maintain.
