As we face one of the most challenging periods of our lifetime, Patrick Owen encourages us to maintain a positive mindset and find the simple joys in life through its latest collection.
When times are hard and the future seems bleak, we could all use a reminder that this too shall pass to help us keep a positive mindset. While the stay-at-home period continues, it pays to appreciate the little things in life, find simple joys in our daily routines and share some love with one another. We can still do so many things from the comforts of our home and, no doubt, do so in style. And a little kookiness won’t hurt either.
Patrick Owen came up with the idea of creating a series of T-shirts with hilarious illustrations to spark some laughter amid the challenges of living amid a pandemic. Called the Patrick Owen Quarantine Diary 2020, the T-shirts also come with matching non-medical masks. More importantly, 30 percent of the proceeds from the sale of this collection will be donated to Habitat for Humanity Indonesia which provides shelter frontline medical staff after their daily fight against COVID-19 at the hospital.
And it doesn’t stop there. Patrick Owen will also do a virtual fashion presentation for the collection and its accompanying campaign. In partnership with WYNN Models, Vicky Tanzil as the photographer and Allysha Nila as the fashion stylist, Patrick Owen did a digital editorial photo shoot with 30 models from WYNN models to showcase the philanthropic and humorous side of fashion. All was done with zero physical contact and all parties agreed to share a creative, casual and hopeful tone to the audience at home.
As for the virtual presentation, Patrick Owen will have Angel Pieters sing her own rendition of Tory Kelly’s Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing while the models wittily do a “runway” walk from their homes. At the end of the virtual runway, the images by Tanzil and Allysha Nila will be released.
The Patrick Owen Quarantine Diary 2020 T-shirt and non-medical masks will be sold for IDR 885,000 and are available to buy through Patrick Owen’s Instagram account and Blibli.com.
