Italian luxury fashion house Prada and the industry-leading sportswear brand Adidas have officially announced that they are teaming up for their first-ever long-term collaboration. Both parties have announced on their official website that its first drop will be released on December 2019.

Rumors of the collaboration surfaced during October when twitter account PY_LEAKS by PY_RATES twitter leaks out information regarding the collaboration. The tweet mentioned that December will see two drops: a pair of sneakers known to be called “adidas Prada Sailing” which will be available in the color of white, metallic silver, alongside a red colorway, rumored to have a $350 USD pricetag.

Following the first drop, it is also reported that a a second collaborative capsule will arrive in early 2020, featuring performance sailing footwear from Prada’s Luna Rossa line shoes made by Prada in its factories in Italy.

Announcing the plans for the collaboration, Prada added that “the aim of this partnership is to investigate the realms of heritage, technology and innovation. Prada for Adidas is a laboratory for new ideas, a vehicle for creativity.”
