Elegant. Empowered. Adventurous. This woman is La Voyageuse, the inspiration for Longchamp’s FW 2019 new line.
And who better to epitomize this “La Voyageuse” woman than Kendall Jenner?
During her visit to the Longchamp workshop in Segré (where she was able to witness the bag production process) the beautiful globe-trotting American debuted the large version of La Voyageuse tote before boarding a helicopter back to Paris.
For a global citizen like Kendall, travelling isn’t just about crossing continents, it is a style, a state of mind, and an insatiable curiosity to experience new countries, new cultures.
La Voyageuse: one bold spirit, three styles. The star of the new season accompanies the Longchamp woman as she journeys –oh-so-sophisticatedly– through life.
LA VOYAGEUSE TOTE
Either in butter-soft calf leather or in supple cowhide debossed with Longchamp’s all-over LGP monogram, the large tote (as seen on Kendall) is perfect for long-haul flights. This spacious bag, with structured sides and generous gussets, holds all her travel essentials and more besides.
Sophisticated details—such as the bright nickel rivets and oversize chapes on the handles—are a nod to Longchamp’s long tradition of leather craftsmanship, while practical features include a long zipper and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap. The distinctive leather strap embossed with the Longchamp emblem wraps around the bag was inspired by vintage luggage.
The La Voyageuse also comes in a small size, great for shorter journeys and days in town! Made from plain calf leather in timeless black or clay-white you you are spoilt for choices with its four LGP-debossed variations: black, chalk-white, burnt-red or brandy-brown cowhide; suede in khaki, natural, navy-blue or the season’s rich brandy shade; patent in deep blue, black or eye-popping orange. The possibilities are endless!
What’s more? We love the versatility of the La Voyageuse. You can carry or wear it in two ways.
First as a small cross-body bag with a removable shoulder strap, which also doubles up as a clutch. The second, inspired by vintage newspaper bags, is a minimalist vertical tote with removable handles, which – thanks to the suppleness of Longchamp’s plain calf or debossed cowhide leathers – can be rolled up and buckled with a strap.
Are you the La Voyageuse woman? Then Longchamp’s new star bag is for you.
