Hailing from Italy, Rodo has dedicated itself to create refined evening clutches, footwear and accessories for women. Throughout its 60 years’ journey, the brand has inspired stylish women all over the world. To celebrate the milestone, it is only apt to invite five ladies in an exclusive photo shoot with Prestige.
Marsha Timothy
Mother knows best. Maybe these are the exact words to describe the way the actress met Rodo. “My mother has loved Rodo for a long time. When I was in junior high school, I was using her Rodo clutch for an evening ocassion. I’ve known this brand for as long as I can remember,” says Marsha, who came to the shoot during the workshop break for her new movie Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts. She plays the titular role. Marsha is also a brand ambassador of Rodo.
Lia Lukman
At the Rodo 60th anniversary party in Jakarta last May, Lia had a chance to talk with Rodo CEO, Gianni Dori. She says that he is an inspiring figure. “My husband also had a long conversation with him,” says the wife to actor Lukman Sardi. She is also a mother of three boys, and the legal head of a media group company.
Annisa Pohan
Annisa got to know Rodo during her wedding preparation 11 years ago. After marrying Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, the eldest son of the former Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, her relationship with the brand got closer. “It gives a luxurious touch to your look. In the spring/summer 2016 collection, the Heart Boule is my favourite,” says the co-founder of Yayasan Tunggadewi, a foundation that focuses on women and children’s education.
Astrid Satwika Kusumo
Astrid is the owner of beauty and lifestyle website aishaline.com, named after her daughter’s middle name. She first got to know Rodo from the glossies. “Rodo is one of a kind. When you see the heart-shaped clutch, you instantly know that it is Rodo,” she says. The proud mother is also launching a furniture line for children, Chatelaine Living.
Carissa Puteri
The actress is enjoying motherhood, as well as hosting talk show for mothers called “Ibu Pintar” with fellow actresses Zaskia Adya Mecca and Ririn Dwi Aryanti. “A Rodo clutch gives a statement to a simple evening gown. Especially the one with Swarovski crystal details,” the Rodo ambassador says.
