In continuing the maison’s commitments towards art and culture, Cartier is proud to be associated with one of today’s most prominent classical artists.
Cartier has just announced Khatia Buniatishvili as the latest ambassador of the maison. The French-Georgian pianist has stood out since early childhood, as she gave her first concert as a soloist with the Tbilisi Chamber Orchestra at the age of six. Moreover, she earned the first place at the admission exams of the Tbilisi Conservatory at 16, and the Vienna University of Music and Performing arts at 19.
Following her professional debut in 2008 at Carnegie Hall in New York, she has performed on some of the world’s largest stages: London, Vienna, Amsterdam, Paris, Milan and Shanghai. From debuting as a Sony Classical exclusive artist up to her most recent humanitarian commitments, Buniatishvili truly embodies the values cherished by Cartier.
“Khatia expresses the essence of who we are. Pure simplicity and expressive romanticism. Delicate exuberance. Unique and universal. Plural singularity. Body and soul, with measure and unbridled energy Khatia embarks us into the dizzying exploration of human emotions and passion,” declared Cyrille Vigneron, President and CEO of Cartier International, in closing.
