A full, life-like boutique experience from the comfort of your home
Swiss luxury watchmaker and jeweller Piaget is no stranger to online shopping. The brand went online all the way back in the year 2000, and has since continued to push initiatives at that front, including partnering up with e-commerce platforms such as Net-a-porter and TMALL.
Today, as online shopping has become increasingly prevalent – not to mention important – Piaget has taken yet another step forward by launching its very own virtual boutique. This service can be accessed on the go using mobile devices or desktop browsers (the latter would provide the best experience) through Piaget.v-boutique.com.
“Luxury shopping is not as straightforward as commodity shopping. It is about purchasing an intimate art piece that resonates with your values and personality. Brand inspiration and experience are key,” said Petronille de Parseval, Managing Director of Piaget South East Asia and Australia. “Our customers are highly connected and seek information that is not only accurate, precise and accessible but speak to them emotionally. It is complicated to have a full brand shopping experience while browsing online.”
Piaget’s virtual salon experience will eventually cover the needs of all the brand’s markets across the globe, but has recently debuted in Singapore. Designed to take visitors “on a visual architectural journey,” the salon features a multitude of distinct spaces featuring colours inspired by the brand’s Sunny Side of Life spirit: gold, white, yellow and Piaget’s signature blue. Architecture elements such as high arches and mirrors along with touches of brass and elaborate painting complete the store’s aesthetics.
Guests arriving at Piaget.v-boutique.com are greeted by a 360-degree panoramic view and are free to navigate to various points of interest. Each digital pinpoint tells the story behind a creation along with information about technical specifications, pricing and so on. Piaget’s most iconic creations, including the Altiplano collection, the Limelight Gala, Possession and so forth are, of course, on full display.
The most interesting elements of the virtual Piaget Salon are arguably the private virtual appointments (for a truly personalized experience similar to what you would expect from a traditional brick-and-mortar establishment) and the product comparison feature. Most importantly, however, Piaget’s Virtual Salon offers a uniquely interesting and fun experience, whether you’re simply browsing, touring with a friend or actually looking for a new Piaget piece to add your collection.
