Nicholas Ghesquière has once again focusing on the east meets west dialogue within his creation, the latest Fall/Winter ’18 women’s collection. This time, set at the front yard of the Louvre, The Cour lefuel, a spaceship ramp was made to be the runway! Elements of strong and elegance were supported by the wolves, dogs, and wild boars in bronze, which were sculpted by Pierre-Louis Rouillard in 1857-1858
Quintessentially French, the collection is all about the legacies who has built and informed Ghesquière’s taste. The first look was a skirt suit, with fringe details as the embellishment on the structured jacket. More futuristic featured also seen in the smallest details, such as LV pins. Pat McGrath as the Make-Up Artist also made the suitable creation on the eye of each models, a pigmented colorful toned eye-shadow. The whole presentation was felt like seeing women from the future.
