Partnering with Asia’s leading chefs, Michelin-starred kitchens, and online service partners, Fruitfull offers interactive dining experiences, pairing in-person meals with private live-streamed programs, curated by food writer Perm Paitayawat (otherwise known as @theskinnybib). Sharing the same ethos as Wonderfruit, the program brings a conscientious, sustainable approach to dining and considers the impact food has on our culture, society, and the environment.

Originally conceived as a standalone festival for food, the current worldwide state of stay-at-home self-isolation has forced Fruitfull to conform to fit the times, taking the same food values directly to the community through never-before-seen food delivery partnerships and a live streaming platform where diners, chefs, and the hidden heroes of the food industry become online participants.

The first series is called ‘Lockdown’, and will pair live streaming content with offline dishes. Using the website diners can reserve up to four experiences, and once reserved participants will join a private, live streaming program matched with their home-delivered feast. From kitchen confessions and cooking demos, to fresh explorations of community supported agriculture and live music, the online experience is designed to flow as any dinner should, with conversation, stories, and connection. This is dining and a show, reimagined with concrete ideas, sustainable ecology, and social connection for the uncertain times we are living.
Things kick off Friday, April 24th with a seven-course progressive Thai menu by Duangporn “Bo” Songvisava and Dylan Jones of Bo.lan. On Friday, May 8th, Garima Arora of Michelin-starred Gaa will join forces with DJ and broadcaster Nick Luscombe to create a socially responsible lockdown couch party, with creative Neo-African Eurasian hampers and jam sessions from the brightest chefs of Europe, including Ikoyi’s Jeremy Chan (London, UK) and 108’s Kristian Baumann (Copenhagen, Denmark). On Friday, May 15th, diners can opt for an innovative Japanese bento box experience curated by Yusuke Takada of 2-Michelin-starred La Cime (Osaka, Japan), featuring a live cook-along session.

The series concludes on Friday, May 22nd, with a historically-minded, Korean-Thai feast inspired by ancient Korean cookbooks, overseen by 2020 Asia’s Best Female Chef Cho Hee-sook of Hansikgonggan (Seoul, South Korea), and re-interpreted by David Thompson’s protege Prin Polsuk of Bangkok’s Samrub Thai.
