From the capsule to the machine, Nespresso combines the latest technology with quality, speed and smart designs for an effortless, state-of-the-art experience. As the world’s most renown coffee maker, Nespresso has engineered the machines to pair just the right amount of water and pressure to produce a consistently delicious aroma, flavour and frothy crema.
Journey to High-Quality Coffee
Once Nespresso has carefully selected the green coffee according to company’s discerning specifications, it’s sent to one of Nespresso three production facilities in Switzerland where experts enhance and preserve more than 900 coffee aromas through careful roasting, grinding and packaging. To test the results, Nespresso tastes over 300 green coffee cups and 600 finished product cups on a daily basis to guarantee perfect consistency in the coffee. Behind the scenes, experts from both coffee and machine development teams come together to ensure seamless integration between the roasted beans and the cup of coffee in your hand.
Nespresso has a range of exceptional coffees and distinctive machines that allow everyone to create a personalised coffee moment. Nespresso designs machines to enhance the unique flavour profiles of coffees. From robust dark roasts to balanced lighter blends, Nespresso offers 25 Original coffees as well as several limited editions of rare varieties.
Concern of Sustainability
Nespresso pioneered the portioned coffee market in 1986, and still pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation until today. With constant improvements, Nespresso strives to make precision consumption system as environmentally friendly as possible. Nespresso is focusing efforts on using responsibly sourced, recyclable and renewable materials. And Nespresso continues to combat climate change with programmes such as agroforestry and water management initiatives, as well as building recycling capacity to help communities better manage waste. As a further commitment, Nespresso has pledged to reduce carbon footprint by an additional 10% per cup by 2020.
Nespresso uses aluminium because it is the best material to protect the freshness, taste and quality of coffee. It also has the added benefit of being infinitely recyclable and can be repurposed into everyday products ranging from cars to computers. An estimated 75% of all aluminium produced is still in use today. Nespresso efforts to make recycling as easy and convenient as possible for the customers – from expanding the network of collection points to home pick-up – is Nespresso’s commitment to building a model of sustainable consumption.
