The simplest one-step beauty routine you can have is a spritz of your perfect signature scent. Having a fragrance you love because it’s so uniquely you, that it feels (or smells) like an extension of your personality, creates magnetism and can even help you exude confidence. This year we’ve seen some pretty good scents hit the stores like Versace Eros FlameLove Mimosa by Amouage and Un Jardin sur la Lagune by Hermès. Adding to that list is a handful of more of our favourite fragrance finds:

1
Marfa EDP by Memo Paris

Not new on the shelves but new on our shores, Memo Paris has just landed in Malaysia. The line of fragrances are now available exclusively at Robinsons Kuala Lumpur, Shoppes at Four Seasons Place. Memo Paris was created by John and Clara Molley who bring forth inspiration from their Irish and Parisian heritage. A scent we love to love is the Marfa EDP for both sexes; with key notes of orange blossom absolute, tuberose absolute, and white musk.

2
Jo Malone London Poppy & Barley Cologne

Poppy & Barley is plucked from the brand’s limited-edition English Fields collection, strong enough to stand on its own as a lively floral scent loved by lots. A bouquet of notes occlude rose, violets, grains, poppies and barley, a flowery contrast to juicy blackcurrant and fig. As Jo Malone London is famous for its art of layering scents, this one comes recommended as a pairing with Honeysuckle & Davana for a stronger floral combination; Wood Sage & Sea Salt for freshness; or with Myrrh & Tinka for extra warmth.

3
Cartier La Panthère Limited Edition
La Panthère turns five this year and Cartier is celebrating with a limited edition new design of its bottle. Two new bottles have been designed to show off the multiple facets of the fresh scent, with yummy notes including gardenia and a light musk. Cartier calls it both feline and floral. You’ll love this one if you love simple scents with a strong essence.
4
Carolina Herrera Bad Boy

Bad Girl was launched first and now we’ve finally got her male counterpart, Bad Boy. It’s a very oriental scent with spicy notes like red and white pepper, energised with Italian green bergamot. But even better, are its lingering bottom notes of tonka bean absolute. Note its super cool lightning bolt-shaped bottle; a symbol of heroism and strength.

5
Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli

Bvlgari’s latest masculine scent is inspired by the brand’s Mediterranean heritage. As such, it bottles the wildness of coastal Italy and vitality of sunlight. Leaving lots to the imagination is the combination of notes like bitter orange, neroli, salt and bergamot. On the outside, the scent comes in bottles made from metallics and gold, further acentuating the elemental energy of the sun.
