Tealive boss and socmed powerhouse Bryan Loo celebrated his 35th birthday recently, as he does every year in the company of his #zoogang where food, fun and friendship runneth over. There was a slight exception this year. The close bunch lost a key member, the life of the party Mah Kok Wah, who passed away suddenly in August.
“September, to me, is always about celebrating life and friendship as well as being grateful for having my family and friends around me. This year’s birthday was extremely difficult to go through because I miss having a big part of my life present. He is someone who meant the world to me and was with me on every birthday celebration over the years,” he recalls memories with his best buddy.
Ask anyone who knew Kok Wah and they will tell you of that his generosity to people around him and his sense of humour were truly exceptional. “He was a kind soul in a very quiet way despite his lively demeanour. I’m blessed to have crossed path with him in this life,” he says.
The birthday venue at Define:food was transformed into a jungle-themed party overflowing with good food, top-notch tipple, fun entertainment and camaraderie. The high-octane night became seemingly subdued when the porridge buffet was rolled out and last words were exchanged. Till next time. See all the photos from the party here.
This birthday is not so much about himself, he admits. “All I wish for is for everyone around me to be happy and healthy, appreciate the lives they’re living and truly live life to the fullest.”
