Events in Kuala Lumpur from 23 to 29 December 2019:
As cliche at it may sound, the new year is an opportunity to start a journey toward a whole better self. At this workshop, you’ll have the support, tools, and encouragement to help you make plans for 2020, by first, helping you understand yourself and where you stand, as well as your values. Then there’s the process: visualisation, protective testing, and life graphs, followed by a plan-building systematic structure known as SMART goal setting that helps to break down goals into measurable milestones.
If you’re looking for a place with a true Christmas vibe (and food to match), you’ll find it at The Chow Kit, the newest hotel on the block. The hotel is presenting two menus; the first is a three-course menu available until Christmas Eve, and consists of traditional dishes like Beef Wellington, alongside Asian starters like Chicken Rice Soup. Then on Christmas Day, the kitchen will serve a three-course brunch set menu with main options like Tandoori Butter Roast Chicken and Christmas pudding for dessert.
‘Tis really is the season for food, so trust the folks at W Kuala Lumpur to whip up a Christmas-themed buffet spread to conquer them all. The menu includes Alaskan King Crabs Legs and Freshly Shucked Fine de Claire Oysters; a Christmas station with offerings like Christmas Roast Turkey Carving with Apricot and Sage Stuffing, and Angus Beef Tomahawk and Salt Baked Ocean Trout. For dessert, there’s Almond Stolen, Chocolate Bon Bon featuring Chocolate Concierge, and Rose Lychee Berries Santa Belt Gateau. Wash it all down with champagne.
When you’ve reached your quota of Christmas pot luck parties, head to Locker & Loft for a chance to win bottles of tuak. Come dressed as Santa Claus in any fashion you please, and judges will be there to name winners for the “best” and “most hilarious”. The Music selection will consist of mostly Christmas tunes with plenty Christmas gangster rap classics. Winners will be chosen at 10pm so don’t be late. The party starts at 6.30pm.
