Events in Kuala Lumpur from 2 to 8 December 2019:
Local jewellery brand Wanderlust + Co just opened up a new shop in Bangsar Village II. The space is a vision come to life of the brand’s signature aesthetics, with white foliage, minimalist touches and lots of light. You’ll see elements of influence from its collections like falling star decals and the quote “trust the flow of the universe”. To celebrate the launch, Wanderlust + Co is offering a nameplate personalisation onto the 14k solid gold necklace, now available in-store ahead of its global 2020 launch.
Indeed the season of miracles and giving, Entier French Dining is holding a farmers market in Alila Bangsar. Bring your organic tote bags to bring home fresh farm produce, boutique wines, artisanal coffee, gourmet goods, homeware and crafts. The farmers market will be held from 11am to 5pm at levels 40 and 41 with a stunning pool view to boot. Business at Entier French Dining and other dining establishments at Alila Bangsar will run as usual.
Nobody panic, but there are only three weekends to get all Christmas presents sorted. Luckily, festive markets are a plenty this season. There’s one this Thursday night at Joloko, and with a variety of jewellery, homeware, and hobbies vendors, spend a few good hours browsing and you might be able to check everyone off your list. Or at the very least, get a few drinks in and enjoy the live music. The event runs from 8pm till 1am.
Part of the fun of Christmas are (often cheesy) Christmas movies worth rewatching every year. Love Actually is a classic, and this year you won’t have to stream it on Netflix at home alone. Come over to GMBB where if you’re early, you can warm up over eggnog, mulled wine and hot chocolate by Hana & Thyme. There will be alcoholic ice-cream by Caketella, an appearance by Santa Claus, and the chance to win an iPhone 11. Last minute walk-ins are allowed but you’re encouraged to let organisers know if you’ll be attending. GMBB will pledge RM5 to charity for every participant too. Doors open at 2.30pm and the show starts at 3pm.
