The world’s “biggest little festival” is holding its second edition in Kuala Lumpur for eight weeks before moving the party up to Penang. All events are planned around the idea of fun, with performances in store with plenty of twists and surprises. This week, the floor opens up to Dance, as well as Junior Dance. But it’s not all fun and games – the festival is a competition that has doubled in size this year with 26 film screenings. The winners stand to win prizes including the coveted Mercedes-Benz Award for Creative Excellence.
For the love of all things gin, come celebrate with the biggest gin-loving tribe in the country at the finale of this year’s Gin Jubilee KL. Drinks are priced at MYR 25 each all night long, along with food trucks and music. All liquid refreshments will be concocted by 26 partner bars hailed for the city’s finest gin and tonics. Doors open at 6pm.
If wine is more your cup of tea (or should we say, alcohol), the wine fiesta also takes place this week and promises to be a day of wine exploration and adventure. Over 18 top wine producers from around the world will be featuring their labels, and if you see (or taste) something you like, you’re able to purchase them right then and there. The event takes place from 3pm till 10pm.
It’s the 13th edition of Art Expo Malaysia, the very exciting exhibition that brings together art from over 60 galleries worldwide. 15 countries are partaking this year with some 1,500 pieces of artwork on display. Numbers aside, there will be a specially curated Southeast Asia Curatorial Exhibition Area, Gallery Zone, Japan Pavilion and art talks.
