In view of the perilous times through which we are still enduring, Labour Day this year sure feels different. While it has always been just another public holiday in the past, this year we are seeing more people taking the time to pause, reflect and appreciate all the hardworking people out there who truly are the driving force of companies, industries and the country.
In this time of coronavirus, we remember the sacrifices and the hard work of medical frontliners, armed forces, delivery guys, waste collectors, public transport providers, grocery store staffs, food & other essential items manufacturers, teachers and the list goes on. We tip our hats to you.
For this Labour Day, we invited our December 2019 cover girls to share their gratitude for the hardworking people who have made a difference in their lives and the lives of others.

Hello! It's been awhile since my last say. Felt like freestyling something today as authentically as possible. Ended up touching on creativity and the need to make things with our hands…. #reflectionsofapeacockbutterfly Lots of love, Nini #stayhome #creativity #creative #art #makewithyourhands #make
“I would like to thank the frontliners for all of their work. The individuals who have generously lent their skills and talent to help solve issues like creating masks & aprons for the frontlines. And closer to our homes, all the messengers who have been working hard to deliver home orders to people and enabling us to live a new way of life in this time of isolation.”

“This Labour Day, I want to thank the frontliners; but in particular those in the entertainment industry who have clubbed together this MCO to support each other through collaborations, online shows, sharing equipment, new ideas and even, food. The live show industry is forecasted to be the one that recovers last. Therefore, I’d like to thank all these industry players for supporting each other in this time.”

"….When we come out of this, we will have changed. And so will the world have changed. Our values will change. We will be brought back to the deepest truth within ourselves, and understand that the old systems, the old structures, the old form of life, have left us. We cannot go back to where we were before, not on any levels" Judith K Selfie of the New Normal.
“This year is a little different from me and very personal. I would like to thank my team Aurora and Barre-D for coming together in giving support and love throughout this crisis that barely none of us would know what to do or where to start. Without them, I probably won’t be able to able to find the ground I would need during this crisis. They have given me the extra push and motivation to also help the front liners and to remind myself that if we don’t continue productivity at home we are not living purposely. I am very grateful to be surrounded by them.”
