What’s going on: Gather the brunch bunch for a round of smoked salmon and eggs benedict, because W Kuala Lumpur is throwing the most extravagant Sunday brunches. The perfect cure of a hangover, or a nice new weekend ritual, there’s also music, live cooking stations, and cocktails .

If you like: Taking on a challenge

What’s going on: The culinary team at Gastro Sentral is back at it with another food challenge. Couples are invited to take on 1.5kg of Spaghetti Aglio Olio, 30 pieces of meatballs in homemade fresh tomato and basil sauce, a dozen garlic bread and lots of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Complete the challenge within 30 minutes and the meal is free!

What’s going on: A+ Works of Art presents a group exhibition showcasing works by five Thai artists. Through photography, installation and video, The Enmeshed features the artists’ perspectives of living in the Deep South of Thailand where certain areas that have been stereotyped by violence and unrest.

If you like: Music of the late Amy Winehouse

What’s going on: With one of the best, sultry voices around, Dasha Logan will be putting on a show with No Black Tie in tribute to Amy Winehouse. The daughter of legendary Loganathan from the Alleycats, Dasha will accompanied by Robin Banerjee who played alongside the great Amy Winehouse herself for two years.

If you like: Laughing till your abs hurt

What’s going on: The Joke Factory is merging standup comedy with freestyle rap battles, hosted by Harith Iskandar. Comedians and music fans Aaron Barber, Nizam Jentik-Jentik, Harresh AU, and Bal will perform standup comedy for the first half of the show, then battle rap each other for the second half.
