Need a little light and laughter in your life? You’re in luck. This week, Kuala Lumpur is the address for fun with comedian Prakash Daniel’s show ‘Beautiful’, and APW’s Summer House Party 2019. Look inwards for closure at OhanaJo, a place we’ve come to be very fond of and highly recommend for some ‘me time’, and continue reflecting at the Humans of Kuala Lumpur exhibition. Don’t forget to pop by Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to sip, watch, and experience ‘The Seven Worlds’ of Hennessy X.O; an immersive experience with cognac in store.

Malaysia is such a melting pot of different cultures and races, with each one of us carrying a story never alike the next. Capturing the essence of individuality within a community so relatable yet different, Humans of Kuala Lumpur (HOKL) photographs people in a very raw essence, documenting a personal glimpse into their lives through a story-telling narrative. The exhibition showcases more than 30 photo stories in a platform that gives them the potential to influence, empower and educate Malaysians on important issues.
Breathe, trust, and let “it” go. If something comes to your mind at the mention of “it”, you could benefit from OhanaJo’s upcoming healing session. Ho’Oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian practice of forgiveness, and at this event attendees will be guided by JoJo Struys and Savy Ho through meditations, powerful visualisations and sound healing to access higher states of consciousness, abundance and self-love. As they say themselves, “There’s only more to gain when you allow and surrender.”
Pre-game or just call it an early night but not before you head to the sundown fiesta in Bangsar’s APW. Saturday Selects is back and it’s one heck of a party with beer pong, face painting, and music. The event does practice a BYOB concept so you know what to do – bring your own booze, of course. Don’t forget about the ‘summer’ theme either and be a sport with your party attire!
We’re really excited for this one and you should be too! Prakash Daniel is performing in an hour-long comedy special titled ‘Beautiful’; a comical look into the beautiful things in his life from family to career and relationships. The comedian is a local household name with international recognition performing at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Tickets are on sale so hurry!
