Lui Che Woo
Lui has come a long way from having to sell food on the street to support his family as a teenager. He owns Macau’s second-biggest gaming operator. In an interview with news channel CNBC, Lui, 85, revealed his simple strategy: “When I first started, many people viewed gaming with a negative connotation. I wanted to change that so we added non-gaming elements to our facilities.” Today, 95 percent of the attractions at Galaxy Macau are non-gaming, including shops and shows.
