The youngest of three siblings, Christopher Lim grew up in a tightknit family, acquiring a natural knack for real estate given his family’s history in property development. But it took multiple setbacks in life including a failed business venture before he found his true calling in real estate. From taking on a negotiator role with Reapfield Properties to launching his very own real estate agency Property Hub, Christopher has always believed in having a vision he can be passionate about. “Passionately working towards the vision with openness, sincerity and setting precise but achievable milestones will keep the team motivated towards collective success,” says Christopher who now helms the CEO position at Triterra Metropolis.
As a key player in the Malaysian real estate industry, Christopher’s hope for the property landscape is for the country to develop a strong development planning unit for every city or municipality that will provide accurate data for the many categories of properties. Working with the local council or city hall to map out the future growth of the city and plan the different categories of supply to match the needs of a particular area is also vital to ensure a stable growth for the property sector. “This will empower people to make good, informed decisions with the property insights to better understand and catalyse the property market,” he says.
