Patrick Lee Wan-Keung
Lee, 73, was one of the first entrepreneurs from Hong Kong to operate factories in mainland China, in Dongguan. Originally from Hainan, he got his start in business by manufacturing cassette tapes in 1976; he also traded handbags. When it became difficult to find boxes for his exports, he founded Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing in 1994 — it is now one of the world’s top paper and pulp manufacturers. His other businesses include chemicals, real estate and hotels.
