Sarah wears three hats on most days – she is a corporate venture investor, co-founder of Asia Women Circle that independently drives Lean In Malaysia, and professional moderator and presenter focusing on women and business. Her desire to leave a positive impact on society was nurtured from a young age as Sarah was sent to Brazil when she was 15 to speak about the rights of children in media on a global stage.
In January 2016, Sarah was appointed by Sheryl Sandberg as regional leader to champion Lean In Asia. “Today we work with dynamic women in our team, businesses, corporates and governments, our growing #leanincommunity brings high-potential women to the fore, and most importantly, individual women to become the best version of themselves.” The ambitious young woman has made it her life’s mission to live her life to the fullest potential and hopefully inspire other girls to do the same, because she knows how it feels to be told that “you can’t do it” or “you shouldn’t be this way”.
A firm believer that everything happens for a reason and there is a time and place for everything, Sarah lives her life with no regrets. “Perhaps if there was one thing I could change, I would wish my father had stayed on longer in this life with me, he left too soon.”
