Spectacular runway showcases aside, the New York Fashion Week is also a great occasion for fashion moguls to go the extra mile and do things out of the ordinary. That is what global design house Coach set out to achieve, with the launch of Coach Originals, a new collection of striking handbags, at the ongoing edition of one of the biggest fashion extravaganzas on the planet.
While a special edit of the Coach Originals bags was showcased on the runway, alongside Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers’ Spring 2020 ready-to-wear collection, the full gamut of bags includes 45 timeless pieces recreated with modern flairs, remixed and remade for the modern fashionista.
Besides the collection itself, it’s the Coach Originals pop-up that’s been creating a buzz at NYFW this year. Celebrating the luxury brand’s 78-year legacy in leather craftsmanship, this experiential pop-up shop features an exciting exhibition of Coach’s iconic bags throughout the decades, where visitors can try engaging services unique to the design house. Located on Madison Avenue, the pop-up will be open from 7 to 15 September.
