Nothing beats a pop of colour to perk up a look — so strap on a vibrant hue for some funky feel. Audemars Piguet agrees and thus, the Swiss brand continues its blazing streak of bringing bright, bold colours and contrasts to the wrist with its fresh-faced Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph collection. The eye-catching watches are fun and adventurous, yet speaks to the fashion-forward.
Audemars Piguet’s evergreen Royal Oak Offshore line has churned out vivid winners before but never quite like this. There are sweet new shades to choose from, now in the Selfwinding Chronograph range, including Deep Pink. The fabulous fuchsia dial is juxtaposed by the glint of a stainless steel case. So is the case for other show-stopping spectrums such as Zesty Orange, Luscious Plum, and Wow White.
Likewise, a silver-toned dial is available in a case of pink-gold while there’s a blue beauty that comes in yellow gold. Each coloured dial sets the tone with a matching rubber strap and contrasting counters for that superlative colour pop.
All comes further shimmered with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds set in the bezel. The timepiece’s revolutionary design may have undergone many iterations over the decades, but of course the Royal Oak Offshore retains its characteristic octagonal bezel with eight hexagonal screws, which fit beautifully with the diamonds.
The “Lady Tapisserie” design, first introduced in 2016, decorates the dial for a softer look, perfectly offsetting this 37mm case size. And powering the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph is the calibre AP 2385, a self-winding chronograph movement that oscillates at a frequency of 3Hz for a 40-hour power reserve.
The new additions to the range are vibrant, different and definitely funky to an otherwise serious piece of haute horlogerie.
