Tiffany & Co. debuts a new high jewellery collection, The Legendary Designs of Jean Schlumberger in Kuala Lumpur. It is a collection that celebrates one of the 20th century’s most gifted artists, whose prominent works pay homage to the natural world.
Malaysia will be the first nation in the Asia Pacific region to showcase this stunning collection, which will be available for viewing from 1 August to 16 August 2020 at Tiffany & Co. Pavilion Kuala Lumpur store.
One of modern jewellery’s most inspired creators, Jean Schlumberger joined Tiffany & Co. in 1956. He was the first in a series of superbly chosen designers whose personal artistic vision continues to keep Tiffany at the forefront of jewellery design. His notable and highly original work abounds with imaginative spirit, with many of his designs remaining in production to this day.
Moreover, the use of coloured gemstones and radiant Tiffany diamonds lends an exclusive edge to his creations. They are among the most expressive and innovative in the world of high jewellery design.
The Jean Schlumberger collection
The artist’s iconic design motifs spring to life in this collection that celebrates the beauty of flora, and nature itself. “I try to make everything look as if it were growing, uneven, organic… I want to capture the irregularity of the universe,” Jean Schlumberger once remarked.
The collection’s centrepiece is a striking platinum Baguette Fringe necklace. The necklace is an expression of contrast, juxtaposing hard and soft textures in the making of a piece that is both feminine and bold. The Baguette Fringe necklace unites angular lines with the curved appeal of circles. Made with white baguette diamonds, over 23 total carats, and round brilliant white diamonds, totaling over 62 carats with a subtle, elegant blue sapphire clasp.
Other pieces from the collection include the Shell brooch, Etoile de Mer brooch, Fish Clip brooch, Ancolie brooch, Bird on a Rock brooch, Cooper bracelet, Nest earrings, 7 Leaves earrings, Fleurage earrings, Ribbon ring, 4 Leaves ring, Panier ring and the Stitches ring. The pieces will be available at Tiffany & Co. Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Between the flawless artistry of Jean Schlumberger’s design and masterful use of precious metals, stones, and diamonds, the works of this legendary designer call for a close and personal view.
